At Plank, we take pride in partnering with fitness professionals, instructors, and fellow yogis who are not only passionate about their practice, but our products as well. This month, we're pleased to introduce you to our newest ambassador, Phyl London.
Phyl is a Boston based, Master Trainer, Fitness Specialist, and Group Exercise Instructor. She holds a BS in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts and an MA in Education from the University of Connecticut. Her certifications include: ACSM Health/Fitness Specialist, VCore® Instructor Trainer, ACSM Advanced Nutrition, AFAA Group Exercise & STEP,VCore®, VIPRE, TRX, and she trains with STOTT Pilates Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Barrel, and Chair.
An expert in Pilates, Phyl has been teaching essential, intermediate, and advanced Pilates to hundreds of women since 2002. She uses a fusion of Pilates and Multi-Movement, Body Weighted exercises to train her clients from the inside, out. She teaches her clients how to workout less, with more results. She keeps their routines fresh and fun by constantly rotating new exercises into the workout and incorporates the ABC's of fitness: Alignment, Balance, and Control to chisel out a lean toned physique.
"My fitness method incorporates a balanced body approach. I focus on alignment with barefoot balance training, length with Pilates, and lean with multi-movement, full-body weighted exercises that also increase heart rate for weight loss. I believe one of the most important aspects of being fit and seeing long-term results is to listen to your body — train it smarter, not harder."
